A few weeks ago, I purchased the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Palette for everyday use for Summer. It’s a cream-based product that comes with blush, bronzer and highlight which is perfect for those Summer hot days when you’re sweating and it will definitely stay on a lot better than powder product. I even did a Sweatproof Makeup Tutorial featuring that product which I did enjoy but there was something that just wasn’t great about it, so I returned it.
I had a debate on whether to get the Hourglass Illume Sheer Color Trio or the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Palette but ended up getting the Make Up For Ever one instead because of the better reviews and price alternatives. The Hourglass Illume Sheer Color Trio retails for $75CAD while the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Palette retails for $54, that’s up to $20 difference. After returning the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Palette, I decided to pick up the Hourglass Illume Sheer Color Trio to try since if you end up not liking the product you could always return it (Thanks to Sephora’s return policy!).
But DAMN. (Excuse my language) The Hourglass Illume Sheer Color Trio is definitely worth. It’s really hard for me to like an expensive product because it has to be REALLY good for me to keep it. The pigmentation (other than the highlight which is a little chalky) of this trio is like whipped butter (!!!). It applies really nicely and blends in to the skin really well. It gives a really nice sun kiss glow and the highlight is on point with their glow.
